Dani Silva
Title: President Ticket

I'm Danielle Silva aka 'Dani'. I'm a first gen, non-traditional college student majoring in Communications and World Languages. Mt SAC has given me hope and inspiration in my everyday life and to show my appreciation I've been working to impact the campus since enrolling, and I'm just getting started!

As Campus Community Senator I organized a Volunteer Fair for students to connect with organizations and get more involved in the community. I believe Co-curricular involvement is a wonderful way to get more from college.

I compete for Mt SAC in the award-winning Forensics Speech and Debate team, and I'm a proud member of ALPHA GAMMA SIGMA, The HONORS Program, El Centro, EOPS, Rising Scholars, Aces, and Associated Students.

I also serve on The Student Preparation Equity Achievement Council voicing the needs and concerns of our student body to both faculty and administration. Currently I'm working to make it easier for students to access books, and learning materials as well as conferring with faculty to ensure students’ rights are being honored.

I will strive to ensure our campus is an equitable and fair place, where students are valued and treated with respect. As a peer mentor I work with students to navigate them through the challenges of college life.

In March of this year I took a trip to Washington D.C. to lobby for another million dollars for programs on campus which emphasize giving students the attention and support they deserve and need to champion their way through college.

As President I intend to bring more resources and revenue to programs on campus that enrich student life and energize our diverse community. Mt SAC students and advisors are an extended family. With the initiatives I will be putting in place for this 2023-2024 year we can expect a more unified and cooperative campus.

I give a lot of time and energy to knowing what's happening on campus and ensuring that the best interest of the students remains at the forefront. I love to create impactful experiences for all, and being your president is going to exponentially increase my ability to advocate for the best student experience possible.

Please do feel free to share your ideas with me. I'm very excited to hear from you and to be of service to you. You can email me or you can find me on IG
